The rooms are really clean and it seemed like they were quite recentrly renovated (especially the bathroom). The location is also very conveniant, close to Termini station which is the central point for all arriving or departing by bus, train or bus shuttle to the airport. The city center is also within easy reach by foot.
Air conditioning costs extra 10 eur, which makes the total price for the room a bit too high for what youj get. We did not take the air conditioning, and it was possible to survive without that (in the night the room cooled down due to fresh air through the window and in the morning it was quite ok), but still it is not very comfortable without the ac. The breakfast menu is quite limited, only cornflakes, bread and jam.
Excellent location and a fairly big room. Breakfast was ample and reception was good.
Air conditioning cost extra, the walls and ceiling had huge cracks and the bathroom stank like smoke for the whole time - it came in via the bathroom fan.
Very rough staff especially one of the staff after 8 pm. A c never worked, we asked for it we were told to pay 10 euros per day we acepted it as it was very hot, 36c at the time. But to our wonder the ac never came long, we reported it on the first day itself aand they promised to look in to it.but the next day and the following day the same situation continued. When it was brought in to their notice they would;nt acept it, still insisted that it was working,we trried in vain to make them understand that it was not the ac but only hot air was being blown out through the fan near to the window but still they would'nt budge and talked very harsh. At last we ended up paying 30 euros extra for the hot air and the ac that never worked. Iam sure they very well knew that it was'nt working and they are just milking the customers and exploiting us by passing the buck from one person to the other. Very disappointing and disheartening experince during our wonderful holidays and it still remains as a very bad experince. We feel we were really cheated. Come on guys please check your a/c ....repair it don't cheat customers.
The location was right beside the main train station making commuting to places very convenient. The hotel was comfortable.
Location between railway station and Ancient Rome. Marble staircase, atmosphere and nearby restaurants.
The shower was tiny, and I am not overweight.
We have good internet connection and easy to find halal food. The halal food just opposite the hotel and the hotel location are really in walking distance with termini. And for once, the hotel receptionist (the young fellow) are fluent in english. So communicating are easy and less hassle.
You need to pay extra 10 euro for getting the air conditioning to work
Location..near train station..5 Min..allowed us to hold luggage on last day.. Extra for a/c but worth it.. Internet was sporadic depending on where we sat in room or hallway....laundromat across the street..small grocery store 1/2 block.. Large grocery approx 3 blocks.. It is a well used hotel for tours and such... It worked.. For what we needed..
General comment about Italian hotels..Personal opinion..Price and # of stars equivalency is different in Italy comparatively to other countries..3 Star in Italy seems more like a 2 star in another country.. Beware the room tax in Rome (noted in Frommer's guide).. Wanted in cash not on credit card..
Staff was friendly.
Very loud at the night. Thick walls and load street outside. Small room.
Location habdy Rome main raiway station
Cracked bathroom vanity sink, Indifferent receptionist
Location is excellent for sightseeing in Rom. Very close to Termini is also very convenient, when arriving from airport by train. Our room was newly renovated and we were pleasantly surprised. Bathroom was also newly done. Personal was always very friendly and helpful.
It would hve been nice to have fresh fruit and yoghurt as well with the breakfast. The one night was very noisy due to the fact that a class of students made noise till early in the morning with a heavy doo,r located right outside our room, slamming all the time.
Single room equiped with all I needed for a comfortable night in Rome. Very convenient to Termini. Room was quiet and even had lovely view across to Santa Maria Maggiore. Free wi-fi.
Breakfast, but was to be expected for this category of Italian hotel (white bread rolls, crunchy packet bread/toasts, sweet spreads, pretend oj).
The location is the best thing about this hotel but there are many other nicer and reasonable places in the same area. Definitely a hotel for really low budget travellers. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The access to the termini railway station is very good.
The breakfast room is narrow and not spacious. The breafast meal is very simple continental. The toilet room is very narrow, too. The shower room is separated from the toilet room.
We stayed at Giorgina one night on each end of our cruise. We are a family of 5 with 3 adult children. The hotel is a perfect location to the Termini train station. The price is very reasonably for Rome. Room #424 had one double bed, 3 singles, spacious bathroom, good shower, very clean and lots of room for our luggage. Mattresses thin but comfortable enough for a night. Quiet room facing back of hotel. Has a lift. We've been to Rome before so we know it's not in the greatest area as with any city near a train station. We felt safe in the hotel, staff friendly enough and helpful. Wall vault in room. Stored our luggage before check in. Room #430 on next stay was same except it was on the front of the building so we kept the windows shut to avoid street noise. This was May 2011 so it wasn't too warm yet. Only negative was the sparce breakfast. Drank the coffee but ate at one of the many cafes right outside the hotel. It exceeded our expectations for the price. Must say I saw a double bed room while passing an open door and it looked drab-definitely not a honeymoon suite. Staff was also helpful on email with directions from train station etc. It's a bargain, safe, clean and good location if that is what you are looking for.
Only negative for us was the breakfast but again, you get what you pay for. It's not a place we'd spend a lot of our day in. It's a great location to get around, store your luggage and sleep.
Value for money (too expensive for just spending the night), breakfast (if you can call it so...) is very limited and should have some variety and the basics (at least normal white bread)
